Heard Sri P.Sai Harshith, learned counsel for the petitioner and Ms.K.Priyanka Lakshmi, learned Assistant Public Prosecutor representing the State. 3. Learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner herein is A8, who is a Head Constable. Because of the present case, he was dismissed from service. Learned counsel further would submit that the PRC is of the year 2023, which has been pending for the last 2½ years before the Court without any progress and requested that a direction may be given to the Court to proceed with the matter and expedite the trial. 4. Learned Assistant Public Prosecutor would submit that the Court may pass appropriate orders. 4 5. Considering the submissions made and in the interest of justice as rightly put by the learned counsel for the petitioner that the PRC has been pending before the Court for the last 2½ years, it is apposite to dispose of the criminal petition directing the learned Presiding Officer of the Special Judicial Magistrate of First Class for trial of cases relating to Red Sanders Smuggling, Tirupati, to proceed with the matter, take the sureties for the appearance of the accused before the trial Court and conclude the proceedings as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of two (02) months, without giving any adjournment in a casual way. 6. Accordingly, the Criminal Petition is disposed of.
