AG Punjab SANDEEP MOUDGIL, J (ORAL) The jurisdiction of this Court has been invoked under Section 528 of BNSS read with Section 483 of the BNSS for grant of interim bail to the petitioner in FIR No.148 dated 30.08.2024 (Annexure P-1) registered with Police Station City Nawanshahr, District SBS Nagar, under Sections 308(5), 61(2), 249 of BNS, 2023 for a period of four weeks to perform last rites and attend bhog ceremony of his mother, which are scheduled for 16.05.2025 and 22.05.2025 respectively. In compliance with the order dated 13.05.2025, the learned State counsel, on instructions from SI Rakeshwinder Singh, submits that the cremation of the petitioner's mother is scheduled for 16.05.2025 and bhog ceremony is scheduled for 22.05.2025.
