ORDER:
This writ petition is filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India with the following prayer for:
“….pleased to issue a writ, order or direction more particularly one in the nature of mandamus declaring the action of the respondents 2 to 4 herein in not providing police protection to the petitioner and their family members from the hands of the respondents no. 5 and 6 as illegal, arbitrary and violations of article 14, 21 and 300-A of the Constitution of India and consequently direct the respondents police to provide police protection and pass…”
2. Heard Sri Narasimhulu, learned counsel for the petitioner, and Sri V. Farooq, learned Assistant Government Pleader for Home.

Learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that despite making a representation to the police, no police protection has been provided.
4. The learned Assistant Government Pleader for Home would submit that the subject matter is purely civil in nature, and since no jurisdictional order has been received to grant such protection, the authorities have not acted upon the said representation
5. Considering the submissions, the writ petition is disposed of. However, the petitioners are at liberty to make a fresh representation before the police, as and when required, in accordance with law. There shall be no order as to costs.
