This Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India with the following prayer:
“…..to issue a Writ, order or direction more particularly one in the nature of Writ of Mandamus, to declare the action of the Respondents in appointing the 6th Respondent as Senior Mate in the place of the Petitioner as highly arbitrary, illegal and contrary to the Circular No.567/EGS(FA)/2016 dated 11.03.2016 and consequently direct the respondents to appoint the Petitioner as Senior Mate with all consequential benefits and pass such other order or orders……”

3. Learned Standing Counsel for respondents 4 and 5 would submit that the cause of action does not survive in this matter, hence, the petition may be
disposed of.
4. In that view, the Writ Petition is dismissed for non-prosecution. No
