It appears that an order came to be passed below Exhibit 143 in Criminal Case No.52709 of 2013 on 03.06.2025 by the learned 9th Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate, Surat, whereby the petitioner was directed to deposit an amount of Rs.2,00,000/- for handing over the passport to him for the purpose of renewal. 2. Being aggrieved and dissatisfied with the said order, the petitioner preferred Criminal Revision Application No.243 of 2025 before the learned Additional Sessions Judge, Surat, seeking reduction of the security amount. The learned Additional Sessions Judge, Surat, by order dated 10.07.2025, modified the order of the Magistrate to the extent that the petitioner shall be handed over the passport only for the purpose of renewal upon depositing an amount of Rs.1,00,000/-. 3. In view of the aforesaid facts, no case is made out to interfere further or to reduce the amount as ordered by the R/SCR.A/11563/2025 ORDER DATED: 22/08/2025 learned Sessions Court. 4. The trial Court is directed that if any amount is deposited by the petitioner in compliance with the aforesaid order, the same shall be kept in a Fixed Deposit Receipt (FDR). Upon the petitioner surrendering the passport after renewal, the said amount shall be returned to him forthwith. 5. With the aforesaid direction, the petition stands disposed of accordingly.
