The Court: The Petitioner has preferred the present writ petition seeking a direction upon Respondent No. 2 to provide two additional sets of certified copies of the orders dated 09.12.2022 and 18.09.2023, passed in Demolition Case No. 071-D/Br-V/20-21 (Ward 045), to the Petitioner. It is the case of the Petitioner that he requires two additional sets of certified copies of the aforementioned orders for filing the same in Civil Suit No. TS/469/2020 and Criminal Case No. C/24095/2012. Earlier, the Petitioner had applied for three sets of certified copies of the said orders and deposited Rs. 1000/- towards the requisite charges. However, he was provided with only one set, which he has already filed in BT Appeal No. 7 of 2024 before the Municipal Building Tribunal. Thereafter, he requested the Respondent Municipality to supply two additional sets of certified copies for filing 2 before two other forums. However, the Respondent declined to provide the same. Being aggrieved by such refusal, the Petitioner has approached this Court by way of the present writ petition. Learned Counsel for the Respondent Corporation, Mr. Ghosh, submits that the Corporation is ready and willing to provide two additional sets of certified copies of the said orders, subject to the petitioner depositing the requisite fees in accordance with law. In view of the above, the present writ petition is disposed of with a direction upon Respondent No. 2 to provide the petitioner with two additional sets of certified copies of the orders dated 09.12.2022 and 18.09.2023, subject to the petitioner making payment of any additional charges, if applicable, within a period of one week from today.
