2. With the consent of the parties, the petition is being
disposed of today itself.
3. By way of this petition, the petitioner has prayed for the following reliefs:-
“a) That the impugned office order dated 08.01.2025, Annexure P-3, may be quashed and set aside qua the petitioner, b) That the respondent may be directed to allow the petitioner to continue as Assistant Liaison Officer at Liaison Office at Shimla, H.P.”
4. Learned Senior Counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is presently serving as a an Assistant Liaison Officer at the Liaison Office at Shimla, H.P. In terms of the impugned Annexure, i.e. Annexure P-3, the petitioner has been 1 Whether reporters of the local papers may be allowed to see the judgment?
2 ordered to be promoted as Liaison Officer and transferred to Dhangupir Branch of the respondent-Bank, where there is no post of Liaison Officer. Accordingly, he submits that in the light of the fact that respondent-Bank has already approached the appropriate Authority for creation of the promotional post, interest of justice would be served in case respondents are directed to take immediate call on the said request of upgradation of the post and till the needful is not done the petitioner be allowed to continue to serve at his present place of posting.

Learned counsel for the respondent-Bank could not dispute that there is no post of Liaison Officer in the branch in which the petitioner presently stands posted. It is also not in dispute that there is already a proposal of creation of the said promotional post.

Accordingly, in the backdrop of the said fact, this petition is disposed of with the direction that let appropriate call on the upgradation of the post be taken expeditiously and preferably within a period of three months from today and till then the petitioner shall be allowed to continue to serve as an Assistant Liaison Officer at the Liaison Office of the respondent-Bank at Shimla. Pending miscellaneous applications, if any, also stand
disposed of accordingly.
