Pandit, learned counsel for the applicant has submitted that the applicant had preferred an appeal, being aggrieved by the judgment of conviction dated 27.09.2024 and sentence dated 24.10.2024 passed by the learned District and Sessions Judge at Nongstoin, West Khasi Hills District in Sessions Case No. 15 of 2018. However, while preferring an appeal, a delay of 85 days has occurred, the grounds being the personal difficulty of the applicant, financially and otherwise. 2. Since the applicant wishes to pursue the appeal, it is prayed that such delay may be condoned. 3. Mr. K. Khan, learned PP assisted by Mr. S. Sengupta and Mr. A.H. Kharwanlang, learned Addl. PP for the State respondent has no objection to the prayer for condonation of the delay. 4. On consideration of the prayer made and on perusal of the petition in hand, we are convinced that good grounds have been shown for condonation of such delay. Accordingly, the delay of 85 days in preferring 2025:MLHC:310-DB 3 the appeal is condoned. 5. Misc. Case stands disposed of. 6.
