This Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India with the following prayer for:

“.... a Writ of Mandamus declaring the highhanded action of the Respondents no 4 and 5 in repeatedly insisting the petitioner to appear before their authority for settlement the matter which is not related to the petitioner with political party leaders support and declaring the action of the respondents 4 and 5 as illegal, irregular, arbitrary and offends Articles 14, 19 (1) (g), 21 and 300-A of constitution of India and violative of provisions of Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 and consequently direct the respondents no 1 to 3 to take necessary action on the petitioner complaint dated 30.04.2021, in the interest of justice.”
2. Heard Ms.P.Saraswathi, learned counsel for the Petitioner and Sri V.Farooq, learned Assistant Government Pleader for Home.
3. Learned Assistant Public Prosecutor for Home, on written instructions, would submit that the Police are not insisting the Petitioner and not harassing him to settle the matter.

Learned counsel for the Petitioner would submit that, recording the same, the petition may be disposed of.
5. In that view, the Writ Petition is disposed of directing the Police not to call the Petitioner, in the absence of any crime registered against him and not to harass him. There shall be no order as to costs.
