THE HON’BLE SRI JUSTICE HARINATH.N WRIT PETITION No.27836 OF 2025 ORDER:
1. The petitioner apprehends that the official respondents are in the process of releasing payment in favour of the 6th respondent.
2. It is submitted that the petitioner had executed certain works after furnishing an indemnity bond in the capacity as the President of the Water Users’ Association Committee. The petitioner duly completed the works and submitted the final bills for the same. Subsequently, the 6th respondent was elected as the President of the said Association with effect from 13.12.2024. The petitioner apprehends that the 6th respondent is now claiming the bills, which are payable to the petitioner, in the capacity of the President of the Water Users’ Association Committee.
3. The learned Government Pleader for Irrigation, on written instructions, submits that the respondent authorities have already prepared a cheque in favour of the petitioner. The petitioner is advised to approach the concerned respondent authorities on any working day to collect the cheque amounting to Rs.9,42,787/-, after duly acknowledging the receipt of the same.
