Mr. Himanshu Singh, learned advocate appears on behalf of petitioner and submits, his client received show cause notice dated 28th February, 2025 for impounding his passport. He gave reply dated 29th March, 2025. He seeks direction upon authority for dropping the proceeding. 2. Mr. Surendra Nath Chauhan, learned advocate, Central Government Counsel appears on behalf of Union of India and submits, the writ petition is not maintainable because petitioner has alternative remedy. 3. A paragraph from impugned show cause notice is reproduced below. "You are advised to visit Regional Passport Office (RPO), Ghaziabad after taking enquiry appointment online OR you may directly visit the RPO and avail 'Walk-in' service on Monday to Thursday (Except on Gazetted Holidays), 10:00 AM to 01:00 PM at Room No.-331, 3rd Floor. Please bring a printout of this letter so that suitable token can be issued to you at the 'Walk-in' counter." Petitioner will, in terms of above reproduced instruction, obtain token 'Walk-in' and tender copy of his said reply dated 29th March, 2025 along with certified copy of this order to respondent no.2 or any other person authorized in that behalf, in Regional Passport Office, Ghaziabad. Petitioner is to get an acknowledgement for tendering his reply. Within three weeks thereof, on consideration of the reply either the proceeding is to be dropped or petitioner informed otherwise. 4.
