MANOHAR KALANGI The Court made the following: ORDER: This Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India with the following prayer for: “.... a Writ of Mandamus declaring the action of the Respondents 4 to 7 in harassing the petitioners and trying to squeeze huge wrongful money from them and threatening to foist false criminal cases against them at the instance of 8th and 9th respondents, is totally unjustified, illegal, unauthorized and misuse and abuse of statutory power.” 2. Ms.Aishwarya Nagula, learned counsel for the Petitioners would submit that the Respondent Nos.4 to 7 are harassing the Petitioners and threatening to foist false criminal cases against them at the instance of Respondent Nos.8 and 9. 3. Sri V.Farooq, learned Assistant Government Pleader for Home, on written instructions, would submit that, based on the complaint of Respondent No.8, a case in Crime No.239 of 2021 for the offences under Section 498-A read with 34 IPC and Sections 3 and 4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act has been registered against Petitioner Nos.1 and 2. 4. In that view, the Writ Petition is disposed of directing the Police to follow due process of law regarding the crime registered against the Petitioners. There shall be no order as to costs.
