JUSTICE R DEVDAS ORAL ORDER Learned High Court Government Pleader takes notice for all the respondents. 2. Learned Counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner was granted 2 Acres 10 Guntas of land in Sy.No.495 of Kodiyala Karenahalli Village, Bidadi Hobli, Ramanagara Taluk, Ramanagara District in terms of Annexure-C, along with several other persons. Prior to that, the petitioner was called upon to pay the premium/kimmath towards 29 Guntas of land, and the petitioner paid a sum of Rs.993/- in terms of the challan at Annexure-D. The grievance of the petitioner however, is that in spite of the petitioner giving several representations to respondent No-3-Tahsildar, Ramanagara Taluk, for issuance of a Grant Certificate, respondent No.3 has not issued the Grant Certificate, and - 3 - HC-KAR NC: 2025:KHC:31158 WP No. 17778 of 2023 therefore, the petitioner is before this Court seeking a writ of mandamus. 3. Learned High Court Government Pleader submits while drawing the attention of this Court to Annexures filed along with the petition that in fact the petitioner has filed an application seeking regularization of 2.00 Acres of land and the revenue authorities have issued demand notice calling the petitioner to pay a sum of Rs.993/- towards kimmath in respect of 29 Guntas of land and the same has been paid by the petitioner as can be seen from the receipt at Annexure-D. It is also submitted on instructions that a notice has been issued to the petitioner on 20.05.2024 calling upon the petitioner to furnish relevant information regarding the extent of holding of lands amongst the family members of the petitioners. 4. Having heard the learned Counsel for the petitioner and having perused the petition papers, this Court finds that respondent No.3-Tahsildar, Ramanagara Taluk, is duty bound to consider the representations given - 4 - HC-KAR NC: 2025:KHC:31158 WP No. 17778 of 2023 by the petitioner for issuance of a Grant Certificate/ Saguvali Chit. Needless to observe that the respondent- Tahsildar may call upon the petitioner to furnish any required information, verify the same from the records, and if the Tahsildar finds that the petitioner was in fact granted 2 Acres 10 guntas of land in terms of the official memorandum and if the petitioner has already paid the kimath, then the Tahsildar has to proceed to issue a Grant Certificate. The entire exercise shall be completed as expeditiously as possible and at any rate within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 5. With these observations, the writ petition stands disposed of. 6. Pending Interlocutory Applications, if any, stand disposed of. Sd/- (R DEVDAS) JUDGE DL CT: JL
