Heard Mr. Jagdish Satapara, learned advocate for the petitioner and learned APP for the respondent-State. 2. Learned advocate seeks permission to withdraw the present petition with the liberty that the Police Authority shall scrupulously follow the mandate of the Hon’ble Apex Court passed in the case of D.K. Basu Versus State of West Bengal, reported in (1997) (1) SCC 416. 3. Permission as prayed for is granted. The petition stands disposed of as withdrawn with above liberty. 4. The learned advocate raised concerns against police R/SCR.A/11271/2025 ORDER DATED: 14/08/2025 atrocity and submitted that he has already approached this Court by way of Special Criminal Application No. 1354 of 2020, wherein the Coordinate Bench of this Court has given directions to the police authority to ensure that the CCTV remains operational during the custody of the petitioner. 5. In view of the above, the police authority is directed to ensure that the CCTV remains operational throughout the time when the petitioner is in custody of the concerned police officer at the police station.
