1. This writ petition has been preferred by the petitioner under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, seeking following reliefs:-
“The Hon’ble Court may issue a writ of mandamus directing the respondents to decide the application of the petitioner for grant of regular stage carriage permit on the Kartala to Bilaspur and one return trip daily and to grant the same in accordance with the provisions of Motor Vehicle Act. 2 Any other relief which the Hon’ble Court may deems fit and proper may also be granted in favour of the petitioner.”

Learned counsel for petitioners submits that petitioner submitted application dated 15.09.2025 before respondent no. 1 for grant of regular stage carriage permit for route from Kartala to Bilaspur, with one return trip daily, however, till date no decision is taken on the same. Therefore, a direction may be issued to respondent/Regional Transport Authority to consider and decide application filed by petitioner expeditiously.

Learned counsel for respondent/Regional Transport Authority has no objection to the limited prayer made by learned counsel for petitioner.

On due consideration of submission made by learned counsel for respective parties, this writ petition is dispose of with a direction to respondent/Regional Transport Authority to take a decision on application (Annexure P-1) submitted by petitioner for grant of regular stage carriage permit in accordance with law, expeditiously.
