1. The petitioner has filed the present writ petition claiming the following relief(s):-
“10.1 This Hon’ble Court may kindly be pleased to direct the respondent authority to come with all the records in the present case. 10.2 This Hon’ble Court may kindly be pleased to direct the respondent authorities to decide the representation of the petitioner to provide compassionate appointment to the petitioner on the post of Assistant Sub Inspector like similar situated candidates as per the provision of law within a period of 1 months, in the interest of Justice. 10.3 This Hon’ble Court may kindly be pleased to issue any other
order or orders, writ or writs, direction or directions as this Hon’ble court may deem fit in the facts and circumstances of the case in favor of the Petitioner, in the interest of justice.”

Learned counsel for the petitioner has restricted his submission with respect to his claim that compassionate appointment on the post of Assistant Sub Inspector (M) on account of death of father of the petitioner during his tenure has not been considered by the authorities concerned and therefore, the representation of the petitioner dated 24-06-2024 and 03-12-2024 and also 04-03-2025 (Annexure-P/6) may be considered by the authorities concerned in view of relevant rules and circulars of the department as well as in view of the compassionate appointment provided to other similarly situated persons on the post of Assistant Sub Inspector (M).

On the other hand, learned counsel appearing for the State though has objected on merits, however, he would submit that he has no objection if such direction is given to the authority concerned to take a decision on the pending representation of the petitioner in accordance with law on its own merits.

Considering the limited submissions made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, the present writ petition is disposed of directing respondent No.2 to take a decision on the pending representation of the petitioner dated 24-06- 2024, 03-12-2024 and 04-03-2025 (Annexure-P/6) strictly in accordance with law on its own merits as per the rules and circulars applicable and also in view of the compassionate appointment provided to other persons on the post of Assistant Sub Inspector (M), within 90 days form the date of receipt of copy of this order.
5. The petitioner is directed to produce a copy of this order to respondent No.2 within two weeks from today.
