GP FOR ENDOWMENTS The Court made the following: ORDER: This Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India with the following prayer for: “.... a Writ of Mandamus, by declaring the unreasonable restrictions contained in circular (M) Rc.No.1005/2021/C, dt.02.9.2021, by the collector Vizianagaram, which is made applicable in the entire state of AP by issuing local instructions as curtailing the freedom of religion of Hindus of Andhra Pradesh, in the guise of implementing the instructions given by the 1st respondent, dated 28-8-2021 as illegal and arbitrary, unconstitutional and violative of Article 14, 15, 19, 21, 25 and also 42nd amendment of the Constitution of India and consequently set-aside the said circular and any other circulars if any and permit the erection and instillation of public pandals and also Immersion Procession of the Lord Ganesha with standard operating procedures during the covid-19 pandemic situation.” 2. Sri V.Farooq, leaned Assistant Public Prosecutor for Home would submit that, since the matter is regarding erection, installation of public pandals and also immersion process of Lord Ganesh idol in the year of 2021, the petition may be disposed of, as the relief sought in this petition has become infructuous. 4. Considering the submissions made, the Writ Petition is dismissed as the relief has become infructuous. There shall be no order as to costs.
