JUSTICE R.DEVDAS) In terms of the directions issued by this court on the previous occasion, the Superintendent of Police, Belagavi has filed a status report, which we have perused. 2. Prima facie, we find that the Police Inspector, Raibag Police Station has taken over the investigation which was earlier done by the Sub-Inspector of Police of the same police station. Thereafter, several materials have been collected and the accused persons have been identified and the Investigating Officer has proceeded to record the statements of all the witnesses and the accused persons have been arrested. In such a scenario, where the initial investigation has found that it may be a case of supari killing and the persons named in the complaint are said to have given supari to other persons who have - 3 - HC-KAR NC: 2025:KHC-D:7792-DB WPHC No.100010 of 2025 carried out killing, we are satisfied that the investigation has proceeded reasonably well. 3. At this juncture, we do not want to consider the submission made on behalf of the petitioner regarding change of the Investigating Officer. However, liberty is reserved to the petitioner to move appropriate application and seek change of the Investigating Officer, if so necessary.
