This writ petition is filed aggrieved by the action of the respondents for non-payment of the bills for the works undertaken by the petitioner. 2. Heard the submissions of the learned counsel for the petitioner, the learned Government Pleader for Municipal Administration and Urban Development, the learned Assistant Government Pleader for Finance and Planning, and the learned Standing Counsel for the respondent-Corporation. 3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner has executed the work, viz., providing CC drain opposite rice depot in 28th division in Machilipatnam Corporation, vide agreement No.73/GGMP/2022-23, dt.02.11.2022, as entrusted by the 4th respondent. 4. The learned counsel further submits that the petitioner duly executed the work to the satisfaction of the 4th respondent. It is further submitted that after execution of the works, the competent authority recorded the progress of the work in M Books and final quality assessments were also done by the agency employed by the 4th respondent and thereafter the petitioner has submitted a final bill for -3- W.P. No.28035 OF 2025 Date of order: 13.10.2025 a sum of Rs.1,22,176/- and the 4th respondent approved the same, but so far no payment has been made to the petitioner. 5. In reply, the learned Standing Counsel appearing for the 4th respondent submits that there is no dispute with respect to the completion of the work undertaken by the petitioner and the payment would be made shortly. 6. Considering the submissions, the 4th respondent is hereby directed to verify and release the payments due payable to the petitioner as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of four (04) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 7.
