The petitioner, through the medium of present writ petition has sought direction upon the respondents to allow the petitioner to appear in the selection process/interview for the post of Teacher District Cadre Udhampur and further that the respondents shall consider the case of the petitioner for selection/appointment to the post of Teacher. Appointment/selection of a teacher relates to a civil post and therefore the subject matter of instant writ petition falls within the definition of service matters as contained in Section 3(q) of the Administrative Tribunals Act. The writ petition is, therefore, amenable to the jurisdiction of the Central Administrative Tribunal. 2. Accordingly, the writ petition is transferred to Central Administrative Tribunal Jammu Bench for its disposal under law. 3. Registry is directed to transmit the record of the petition to the Central Administrative Tribunal, Jammu Bench forthwith, where the parties shall appear on 15.04.2025.
