MEDAPATI SANTOSH REDDY 3 THE HONOURABLE DR JUSTICE VENKATA JYOTHIRMAI PRATAPA WRIT PETITION NO: 19217 of 2021 ORDER: This Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India with the following prayer for: “…to issue an appropriate Writ or order or direction, preferably one in the nature of a Writ of Mandamus declaring the action of the respondents Nos. 1 to 9 particularly direct harassment of the Respondents No.5,6,7,8 and 9 are ill-legal, consequently direct the respondents Nos. 1 to 4 not to harass the petitioner in an indirect manner, and pursue the matter that Respondents Nos. 5 to 9 not to harass the petitioner and his parents directly to call the petitioner and his parents either to the Disha Police or any other police station during the pendency of matter before the Hon'ble courts, and pass.…” 2. Sri Pechathy Ranga Rao, learned counsel would submit that he had given no objection for change of vakalath to the petitioner in this matter long back. 3. Sri V.Farooq, learned Assistant Government Pleader for Home for the respondents would submit that the police are not harassing the petitioner. In fact, on the complaint made by his wife, a crime has been registered against the petitioner in Crime No.86 of 2021 of Achanta Police Station, for the offences punishable under Sections 498-A and Section 3 & 4 of Dowry Prohibition Act. 4. Recording the above said submissions, this Writ Petition is disposed of. However, the police are directed to follow the due process of law regarding the crime registered against the petitioner.
