THIS WRIT PETITION COMING ON FOR CONCILIATION BEFORE NATIONAL LOK ADALAT, THE FOLLOWING CONCILIATION ORDER IS PASSED: CONCILIATION ORDER In this petition, the petitioner has prayed to direct the second respondent to extract light work to the petitioner in the second respondent-Corporation in terms of Sec.20(4) of the Rights of Persons With 3 Disabilities Act 2016 with pay protection by obtaining the disability certificate from the Medical Board, Sanjay Gandhi Institute Of Trauma And Orthopaedics, Bangalore in terms of letter bearing no.Karasa/Chivi/Sibbandi/C-1/964/22-23 dated 28.09.2022 vide Annexure-H to the writ petition sent by the second respondent to the Medical Board, Sanjay Gandhi Institute of Trauma and Orthopaedics, Bangalore. After negotiations, the parties have arrived at settlement. Both the parties have filed a Joint Memo duly signed before the Lok Adalath. The said Joint Memo reads as follows: "1. The petitioner agrees to get himself examined before the concerned jurisdictional medical board for assessment of percentage of disability and shall produce the disability certificate issued strictly in accordance with the guidelines in terms of the order of the Hon’ble Court in WP No.7140/2023 DD 27/07/2023 and WP No. 8271/2025 DD 4 27/03/2025, within a period of 2 months from today. 2. On such production of disability certificate, the corporation has agreed to examine the claim of the petitioner for providing light duty in accordance with Law. 3. The Corporation is at liberty to seek clarification/re-examination of the disability certificate from the concerned medical board in the event it is required." Accordingly, this Writ Petition is disposed of in terms of the Joint Memo. Respondent JOINT MEMO The WP is filed seeking to assign light duty to the petitioner, the WP has been settled between the parties on the following terms and conditions. 1. The petitioner agrees to get examined before the concerned jurisdictional medical board for assessment of percentage of disability and shall produce the disability certificate issued strictly in accordance with the guidelines in terms of the order of the Hon’ble Court in WP no.7140/2023 DD 27/07/2023 and WP No.8271/2025 DD 27/03/2025, within a period of 2 months from today. 2. On such production of disability certificate, the cooperation has agreed to examine the claim of the petitioner for providing light duty in accordance with law. 3. The Corporation is at liberty to seek clarification/re-examination of the disability certificate from the concerned medical board in the event it is required. The parties to this petition have set their hands to this settlement before the Lok Adalat in the presence of conciliators on this 26.04.2025 at Bengaluru Bench.
