CORAM: HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE E.S.INDIRESH ORAL ORDER I have heard Sri. Gireesha Kodgi, learned counsel for the petitioner and Sri. Manjunath K., learned High Court Government Pleader appearing for the respondent-State.
2. In this writ petition, the petitioner is seeking direction to respondent No.3-Thasildar, to enter his name in the revenue records.
3. It is submitted by Sri. Gireesha Kodgi,
learned counsel for the petitioner that, land in

question has been granted in favour of father of the petitioner as per Annexure-A and thereafter, revenue records mutated in the name father of the petitioner. However, respondent No.3, without issuing any notice, modified the mutation by deleting the name of the petitioner’s father and entering the name of the ‘Government’. Consequently, the petitioner submitted a representation dated 04.03.2023 (Annexure-P) requesting appropriate correction in the revenue records.
4. Per contra, Sri. Manjunath K., learned High Court Government Pleader appearing for the respondent-State submits that, grant made in favour of father of the petitioner is temporary grant and therefore, the mutation has been modified by entering the name of the 'Government' in the revenue records. He further contended that, the entry has been modified in the mutation register as the father of the

petitioner has violated the conditions stipulated in the grant order produced at Annexure-A.
5. In the light of the submission made by the
learned counsel appearing for the parties, the petitioner has produced Form No.1-Grant Certificate (Annexure-A), to substantiate the grant made in favour of father of the petitioner. Revenue records stand in the name of the father of the petitioner, however, respondent-authorities have modified the same by entering name as "Government" in Mutation Register at Annexure-G. In that view of the matter, taking into consideration the fact that, the said modification has been made without hearing the petitioner herein, therefore, respondent No.3 is
directed to consider the representation dated 04.03.2023 (Annexure-P) at the earliest within an outer limit of two months from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order. It is made clear that, this

court has not expressed any opinion on the merits of the case and the veracity of the grant made in favour of father of the petitioner. Accordingly, the writ petition is disposed of.
