GP FOR SERVICES I The Court made the following: 3 THE HONOURABLE SRI JUSTICE NYAPATHY VIJAY WRIT PETITION No.25538 of 2025 ORDER: The present Writ Petition is filed to declare the inaction of Respondent No.2 in not considering the case of the Petitioner for promotion to the post of Additional Assistant Engineer duly taking into consideration of his five years of service as Junior Lineman as per representations dated 02.07.2025 and 26.07.2025 in terms of APSEB Service Regulations as adopted by A.P.TRANSCO. 2. The Petitioner had worked as skilled contract labour in vacant Sub-Engineer post from 01.08.1993 to 2000. Subsequently, the Petitioner was appointed as Junior Lineman on 01.05.2007. After 13 years of continuous service as skilled contract labour in vacant post of Sub-Engineer, eventually the Petitioner was given regular appointment as Sub-Engineer in the year 2013. In the seniority list, the Petitioner was placed at Sl.No.251 in the Junior Engineer cadre for further promotion of the Petitioner. The Petitioner submitted representations to count his service as Junior Lineman for the purpose of seniority for effecting promotions to the post of Assistant Engineer. 4 3. Learned Standing Counsel submits that the representations of the Petitioner would be considered in terms of the Rules. 4. Considering the submissions made, the Writ Petition is disposed of directing the Respondents to examine the representations of the Petitioner dated 02.07.2025 and 26.07.2025 and pass appropriate orders within a period of eight (8) weeks. There shall be no order as to costs.
