GP FOR HOME The Court made the following: ORDER: This Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India with the following prayer for: “.... to issued a writ, order or direction more particularly one in the nature of Writ of Mandamus, to declare the inaction on 2 the part of Respondents 2 to 6 in providing Gunman to the petitioner for the imminent threat of his life from the hands of 7th Respondent and his followers amounts to erroneous, arbitrary and voilative Art. 14 and 21 of the Constitution of India, and consequently direct the Respondents 2 to 6 consider the representation made by the petitioner Dt. 08.09.2025 by extending Protection by way of providing Gunman forthwith in the interest of justice.” 2. Heard Sri T.C.Krishnan, learned counsel for the petitioner and Sri Md.Farooq, learned Assistant Government Pleader for Home. 3. Learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that a direction may be given to the respondent-police to look into the grievance of the petitioner and take appropriate decision over the matter. 4. Learned Assistant Government Pleader for Home would submit that the Court may pass appropriate orders. 5. In that view, the Writ Petition is disposed of. However, the petitioner is permitted to make a representation to the respondent No.4 within a period of one (1) week from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. On such representation, the respondent No.4 is directed to look into the grievance of the petitioner and take appropriate decision over the matter in accordance with law thereon within a period of one (1) month thereafter. There shall be no order as to costs.
