The present criminal petition is filed by the petitioner seeking to quash the Crime No.232 of 2024 of I.Polavaram Police Station, Dr.B.R.Ambedkar Konaseema District. 2. The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is arraigned as accused in Cr.No.232 of 2024 of I.Polavaram Police Station for the alleged offence under Section 7-B read with 8(B) of AP Prohibition Act. It is alleged that while the 2nd respondent conducting search on 13.04.2024 found 13 plastic drums out of which 12 plastic drums each one containing 200 liters Jaggery wash and one plastic drum containing 100 liters of total about 2500 liters. The said Jaggery wash is used for preparing ID liquor and two liters of ID liquor on one Plastic bottle was seized, the petitioner was found at the place of scene of offence; however, he escaped from the said place. However, the petitioner was identified by the informants and as such the petitioner was arraigned as accused. 3. The learned Assistant Public Prosecutor submits that the punishment of Section 8(B) of AP Prohibition Act would also extend for a period of eight years and also submitted that huge quantify of jaggery wash was found and hence requested to dismiss the petition. 4. Considering the submissions, this Court is not inclined interfere with the investigation. Accordingly, the criminal petition is dismissed.
