Heard learned counsel appearing for the parties. 2. The petitioner herein is assailing the order dated 17.06.2017 (Annexure-A) passed by respondent No.2. 3. Learned counsel for the petitioner invited the attention of the Court to the order sheet maintained by respondent No.2 (Annexure-G), wherein the notice has been issued to the petitioner to appear before the said authority on 14.06.2017 - 3 - HC-KAR NC: 2025:KHC:25919 WP No. 24083 of 2024 and immediately after three days, the impugned order at Annexure-A has been passed. 4. In that view of the matter, I find force in the submission made by the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner that, respondent No.2 has committed an error in not providing fair opportunity to the petitioner herein. Accordingly, the order dated 17.06.2017 (Annexure-A) passed by respondent No.2 is hereby set aside. It is also to be noted that since proceedings have been conducted under Section 79A and 79B of the Karnataka Land Reforms Act, 1961, and in that view of the matter, since amendment has been made to the said Act, deleting aforementioned provisions, I am of the view that, the entire proceedings abates. 5. Accordingly, the writ petition is disposed of. Since the proceedings have abated, respondent - authorities are directed to reflect the name of the petitioner in the revenue records, in accordance with law.
