1. GP FOR PANCHAYAT RAJ RURAL DEV The Court made the following ORDER:
Non consideration of the petitioner’s representation dated 27.10.2025, requesting transfer of his pension I.D.No.108791830 either to Ward Secretariat No.1035049 of Siva Prasad Colony, Ongole Municipality, or to his A/c No.37824629280 of SBI Tanguturu, including arrears, the present writ petition is filed. 2.
Heard Sri Srinivasulu Kurra, learned counsel for the petitioner, Sri M. Sudheer, learned Standing Counsel for Gram Panchayat and Ms. Naga Chandrika, learned Assistant Government Pleader for Panchayt Raj. 3. Learned counsel for the petitioner, while reiterating the contents of the affidavit, submitted that the petitioner, having shifted from one ward to another ward, made a representation for transfer of his pension (age old pension) along with arrears. Due to non consideration of the said representation, the present writ petition has been filed. He further submitted that it would suffice for the time being if a direction is given to the authority concerned to consider the representation of the petitioner and appropriate
action is taken in accordance with law. As such, prayed to pass appropriate orders protecting the interest of the petitioner. 4. Learned Standing Counsel, on written instructions dated 06.12.2025, submitted that by virtue of the circular dated 21.11.2024, the petitioner can claim transfer/Rollback of pension; however, he is not entitled for arrears. He further submitted that it was later identified that the petitioner’s ID was shown as invalid and the process is under progress and it would be considered as per the rules in vogue. As such, prayed to close the writ petition. 5. Perused the record and considered the submissions of both the learned counsel. 6. The main grievance of the petitioner is that the respondent authorities have not considered his representation dated 27.10.2025 seeking transfer of his pension (old age pension) from one ward to another ward, in accordance with law. The contention of the learned Standing Counsel is that the respondent authorities have an intention to consider the petitioner’s representation as per the Rules in vogue. 7.
As the respondent authorities have an intention to follow law and consider the grievance of the petitioner, there is no
purpose in keeping the writ petition pending inviting counter affidavit and also go into merits and demerits of the matter, this Court is inclined to dispose of the writ petition by passing the following order:
“The respondent authorities are directed to consider the petitioner’s representation dated 27.10.2025 and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law by affording an opportunity of being heard, as expeditiously as possible.”
8. Accordingly, the Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs. As a sequel, miscellaneous applications, pending if any, shall stand closed. _____________________________
