3. Joint memo is filed under Section 148 of the Negotiable Instruments Act, 1881 and it is signed by the petitioner, respondent and their respective counsels. As per contents of the joint memo, the matter is settled for

Rs.1,00,000/- (rupees One Lakh only) including the amount of Rs.50,000/- (rupees Fifty Thousand only) in deposit, deposited by the petitioner before the trial Court. The petitioner makes payment of Rs.25,000/-(rupees Twenty Five Thousand only) by way of Demand Draft bearing No.115397 dated 19.07.2025 drawn in Union Bank of India, Saga Branch. The respondent reports receipt of the said demand draft.
4. The petitioner –accused has agreed to pay balance amount of Rs.25,000/- (rupees Twenty Five Thousand only) within two months i.e., on or before
23.09.2025. The respondent –complainant has agreed to receive the said balance amount within two months. The petitioner has no objection for the respondent to withdraw the amount of Rs.50,000/- (rupees Fifty Thousand only) in deposit, deposited before the trial Court.
5. In view of settlement, the offence punishable under Section 138 of the Negotiable Instruments Act, 1881 is compounded. In view of compounding of the

offence, this Criminal Revision Petition is disposed of as the offence is compounded.
6. The respondent is permitted to withdraw the amount in deposit, deposited by the petitioner before the trial Court.
7. The petitioner –accused has agreed to pay balance amount of Rs.25,000/- on or before 23.09.2025 by way of demand draft in the name of the respondent. If, the petitioner –accused fails to pay the said balance amount, the impugned judgment of trial Court will revive.
