This anticipatory bail application under Section 482 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS), 2023, has been preferred by the petitioner apprehending his arrest in connection with Palkot P.S. Case No.46 of 2024, for offences under Sections 310(4), 310(6) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023 and Sections 25 (1-b)(a), 26 and 35 of the Arms Act. The case is presently pending before the Court of learned Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate, Gumla. 3. The allegation in the F.I.R. is that few persons in the village were seen armed with country made firearms. The police timely intercepted the group when some fled and some were apprehended. The persons apprehended disclosed the name of this petitioner to be one of their associates, who fled. 4. Learned counsel representing the petitioner submits that nothing has been recovered from the possession of this petitioner and his name transpired only from the confessional statement of co-accused. 5. Learned A.P.P. representing the State opposes the 2025:JHHC:17687 2 prayer for anticipatory bail. 6. Considering the nature of allegation, this case needs proper investigation. Thus, I am not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to this petitioner. 7. Accordingly, this Anticipatory Bail Application stands dismissed. (ANANDA SEN, J.) Prashant. Cp-3
