The prayer made in the writ petition is to issue a writ of mandamus directing respondent No.4-Tahsildar, Mandya Taluk to consider the representation dated 04.03.2024 at Annexure-P given by the petitioner. 3. The petitioner is seeking a direction to the Tahsildar to re-consider the mutation order or entries made in terms of the settlement deed entered into between the family members. 4. Learned AGA submits that the settlement deed is an unregistered document of the year 1921. 5. However, it appears that there has been a partition deed entered into between the family members in the year 07.09.1998. But the same is not mentioned in the - 3 - HC-KAR NC: 2025:KHC:32654 WP No. 26255 of 2024 representation. When a representation is given to the Tahsildar, the Tahsildar is duty bound to consider the same and pass necessary orders or issue an endorsement to the petitioner declining to reconsider the earlier mutation orders. 6. In that view of the matter, the writ petition stands disposed of with a direction to respondent No.4-Tahsildar, Mandya Taluk to consider the representation dated 04.03.2024 given by the petitioner and pass necessary orders after issuing notice to all concerned or to issue an endorsement to the petitioner declining to accede to the request made by the petitioner.
