Hon’ble Shri Justice Rakesh Mohan Pandey Judgment On Board 28-04-2025 1) Petitioner has filed this petition assailing the order dated 15.01.2021 whereby SDO(R), Lormi has ordered for recounting of votes despite the 2 fact no recounting application was filed by respondent No. 5 within stipulated time. 2) Perusal of the petition would indicate that election for the post of Sarpanch Gram Panchayat Bhaskra, Tahsil Lormi was held in the year 2020 and petitioner won the election. Thereafter, respondent No. 5 filed election petition under Section 122 of of CG Panchayat Raj Adhiniyam, 1993 and order impugned has been passed by the SDO(R), Lormi on 15.01.2021. This Court vide order dated 11.02.2021 stayed the effect and operation of order dated 15.01.2021. 3) Evidently, new elections have been held across the State in the year 2025, thus this petition has become infructuous. 4) Consequently, instant writ petition stands dismissed on this count alone.
