2. Petitioner has been made accused in connection with S.T. No. 256 of 2024 arising out of Gumla P.S. Case No. 330 of 2024 for the offences registered under section 103(1) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023, pending in the court of learned Additional Sessions Judge-III, Gumla.
3. On 10.09.2024, petitioner had assaulted his father by an axe. Petitioner was seen at the place of occurrence with the blood-stained axe.
4. Learned lawyer appearing on behalf of the petitioner submitted that the prosecution has examined several witnesses who have not supported the prosecution case.
5. Considering the nature of allegation, I am not inclined to enlarge the petitioner on bail. Accordingly, his prayer for bail stands rejected.
Learned Trial Court shall expedite the trial and preferably conclude the same within a period of four months from the next date fixed for recording of the evidence, failing which, the petitioner, if so advised, may renew his prayer for bail.
