1. The present petition has been filed essentially aggrieved by the fact that despite the order of freezing passed on 26.12.2024 having been set aside for having been declined to be confirmed by the Competent Authority and Administrator SAFEM, the SHO, Police Station Jaiton, District Faridkot is proceeding as if the said order of freezing stands confirmed.

Learned counsel for State of Punjab has drawn the attention of this Court to the short reply dated 25.05.2025, filed by way of affidavit of Sandeep Kumar Wadehra, PPS, Superintendent of Police (Investigation), Faridkot, District Faridkot, which is taken on record. The reply discloses the contents of paragraph 5, which are revealing and are reproduced below.

Pal Singh, resident of near Sua, Village Rameana, Tehsil Jaito, District Faridkot at Serial No.269, that due to said wrong noting, it reflected as order of freezing had been confirmed Jasmine Kaur 2025.05.29 17:36 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document
