2025:HHC:28985 IN THE HIGH COURT OF HIMACHAL PRADESH SHIMLA CWPIL No. 3 of 2025 Decided on: 26 th August , 2025 ________________________________________________ Court on its own motion ....Petitioner Versus State of H.P. and others ...Respondents ___________________________________________________ Coram Hon’ble Mr. Justice G.S. Sandhawalia, Chief Justice Hon'ble Mr. Justice Ranjan Sharma, Judge Whether approved for reporting? 1 For the petitioner: Court on its own motion. For the respondents: Mr. Pranay Pratap Singh, Additional Advocate General, for respondent No.1-State. Mr. Shubham Sood, Advocate, for Mr. Umesh Kanwar, Advocate, for respondents No.2 and 3. G.S. Sandhawalia, Chief Justice (Oral) The present Public Interest Litigation was registered on account of the complaint/representation as such received to the effect that there were no online payment facilities at the public fuel station which was being run by HIMFED. 1 Whether reporters of Local Papers may be allowed to see the judgment? 2. A perusal of the reply as such filed would go on to show that apparently there is an admission that there was a server problem and QR/UPI payments were not fully operational. 3. On 31.12.2024, the needful has been done and therefore online payments by way of card payments and UPI are now available. The details have also been appended as Annexure R-1. 4. It has further been mentioned that online payments were operational since April 2017 and payments had been accepted through cards also. 5. It is thus apparent that the rectification has been done by the concerned respondent and therefore we deem it fit to close the present proceedings. 6. Resultantly, the present petition is disposed of. Pending application(s), if any, shall also stand disposed of. ( G.S. Sandhawalia ) Chief Justice 26 th August , 2025 ( Ranjan Sharma ) (ankit) Judge 2
