The petitioner has challenged the order by which he has been punished in a departmental proceeding vide Memo No. 1655 dated 25.09.2020 (Annexure – 6, page 22). He also mentioned that he has preferred an appeal which is still pending.
2. Since the appeal is still pending as confirmed by the learned counsel for the respondent after instructions, I direct the Appellate Authority to dispose of this appeal within a period of six weeks from the date of the receipt of the copy of this order and communicate the order to the petitioner. If the petitioner is aggrieved by the Appellate order, he is at liberty to challenge the same and also the order of punishment by filing an appropriate application.
3. With the aforesaid direction, this writ petition is disposed of.
4. The Appellate Authority should give one opportunity of personal hearing to the petitioner before disposing the appeal.
