1. By way of this petition, the petitioner has prayed for following reliefs:-
“i) That, this Hon'ble Court may kindly be pleased to direct the respondent authorities to consider and promote the petitioner on the post of Teacher (Maths) with all consequential benefit within stipulated time, in the interest of justice. (ii) Any other relief which may be suitable in the
facts and circumstances of the case, may also be granted.”
2. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner was not granted promotion to the post of Teacher (Mathematics) despite possessing the requisite qualifications for the said post.
3. Learned State counsel submits that the petitioner has not completed the requisite experience of three years for promotion to the said post and, therefore, has not been promoted. It is further submitted that the petitioner shall be considered for promotion as and when he completes the prescribed period of three years’ experience.
4. At this stage, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner has now completed the requisite period of experience for promotion and, therefore, prays that a direction be issued to the respondent authorities to consider and grant promotion to the petitioner in accordance with law.

5. I have heard learned counsel for the parties and perused the record.
6. Considering the aforesaid aspects of the matter, if the petitioner fulfills the eligibility criteria for promotion, the respondent authorities are directed to consider the name of the petitioner for grant of promotion to the post of Teacher (Mathematics) and grant the same in accordance with law.
7. It is clear that no opinion is expressed on the merits of the case and the respondent authorities are at liberty to pass the order on its own.
