This Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India with the following prayer for:
“.... a Writ of Mandamus declaring the inaction of the Respondents, more particularly Respondent Nos.4 and 5, in summoning the petitioner to the

Police Station as arbitrary, illegal, and contrary to the well- established legal principles, apart from being violative of the provisions of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 (BNSS) and consequently direct the Respondents not to summon, call, or otherwise interfere with the petitioner for the purpose of settlement of any civil dispute.”
2. Sri V.Farooq, learned Assistant Government Pleader for Home, on written instructions, would submit that as the Petitioner is posting some information in the social media, he was called to the Police Station. But, the Petitioner did not turn up and the enquiry is pending.
3. Sri P.Sashidhar Reddy, learned counsel for the Petitioner would submit that the Court may pass appropriate orders.
4. Considering the submissions, the Writ Petition is disposed of. However, Police are directed to follow due process of law to secure the presence of the Petitioner for the purpose of enquiry. There shall be no order as to costs.
