This is a writ petition under Article 226 of the Constitution, wherein following prayers have been sought for by the petitioner: "(I) A writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus directing the respondent no.5 not to marry of the petitioner with the respondent no.6 without her free will. (II) A writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus directing the respondent no.4 to restrain to the respondent nos.5 and 6 to marry of the petitioner without her free sweet will." 3. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is a lady aged about 25 years, who is being threatened by respondent nos.5 and 6, with the sole intention of getting her married to respondent no.6. With regard to the same, the petitioner has also filed a complaint/representation to the Superintendent of Police, Hapur dated 1.5.2025. 4. Upon due consideration of the facts of the case, we direct the Superintendent of Police, Hapur to look into the said aspect and, if an offence is made out, take appropriate measures, including registration of an FIR, if required. 5. With the above directions, present petition is disposed of.
