By way of this writ petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, the petitioner is seeking quashing and setting aside of the letter dated 01.08.2023, whereby the engagement of the petitioner as Jal Mitra at Siringarh PWSS has been kept in hold. It appears that though the petitioner has submitted written representation before the authorities for considering his engagement and also for payment of his unpaid remuneration, nothing has been done till date. That being so, this Court is of the opinion that this writ petition, in the interest of justice, can be disposed of by directing the respondents to consider the representation filed by the petitioner on 03.12.2024, which is enclosed as Annexure-4 to the writ petition, in accordance with law, within a period of 30 days from the date of receipt of a certified copy of the order.
