GP FOR HOME The Court made the following: ORDER: This Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India with the following prayer for: “....to issue writ of mandamus or any other appropriate writ or direction declaring the action of the respondents in opening and continuing the Suspect sheet No. 518 against the petitioner in the 4th respondent's police as illegal, arbitrary and violative of Article 14, Article 19(1)(g) and Article 21 of the Constitution of India and to consequently direct the respondents to discontinue the suspect sheet against the petitioner...” 2. Heard Ms.S.Maha Swetha Varma, learned counsel for the petitioner and Sri Md.Farooq, learned Assistant Government Pleader for Home. 3. Learned Assistant Government Pleader for Home vehemently opposing to close the suspect sheet opened against the petitioner on the ground that a case is pending against the petitioner which is registered for the offences punishable under Section 376 IPC and POCSO Act. 4. Learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petition may disposed of by giving protection to the petitioner in the light of the directions issued by the Hon’ble Division Bench of this Court. 5. Considering the submissions made, the Writ Petition is disposed of. However, the respondent authorities shall follow the procedure directed by the Division Bench of this Court in its order dated 12.09.2022 in I.A.No.1 of 2022 in Writ Appeal No.674 of 2022, for summoning the Petitioner to the police station on account of the pending suspect sheet. There shall be no order as to costs.
