THIS MFA IS COMING ON FOR CONCILIATION BEFORE NATIONAL LOK ADALAT, THE FOLLOWING CONCILIATION ORDER IS PASSED: CONCILIATION ORDER The learned counsel appearing for the appellant- Insurance Company along with its representative are present. The learned counsel appearing for the respondents - claimants is present. 3 2. After prolonged negotiations, the matter is settled. A joint memo signed by the learned advocate appearing for the appellant - Insurance Company and its authorized officer and the learned counsel appearing for the respondents - claimants (being authorized by the claimants to sign) is filed. The respondents - claimants have agreed to receive and the appellant -Insurance Company has agreed to pay a lump-sum of Rs.26,98,000/- (Rupees Twenty Six Lakhs Ninety Eight Thousand Only) instead of Rs.26,76,000/- that is awarded by the Claims Tribunal. 3. The appellant - Insurance Company has already deposited a sum of Rs.13,38,000/- before this Court and the appellant - Insurance Company has agreed to deposit the remaining amount of Rs.13,60,000/- with the Tribunal within six weeks from the date of preparation of award. The appellant - 4 Insurance Company has agreed that the amount shall carry interest at the rate of 9% p.a. if there is default, from the date of default till the date of deposit. 4. The amount in deposit before this Court shall be transmitted to the Claims Tribunal for disbursement. The entire modified compensation amount shall be released in favour of the respondents - claimants on proper identification.
