The petitioner who is a complainant made a complaint against the Gram Pradhan of the Village and on his complaint, an order dated 26.02.2024 was passed by the District Magistrate, Kanpur Dehat/respondent No.2 in which a direction was given to the Gram Pradhan as well as the then Village Secretary/Village Development Officer to deposit a sum of Rs.1,49,785 each. 2. It is argued by learned counsel for the petitioner that considerable time has already been lapsed but till date no further action has been taken by the respondent No.2. 3. Learned Standing counsel placed Instructions dated 08.05.2025 received under the signatures of Block Development Officer, Rasoolabad Kanpur Dehat, the same is taken on record. It is stated in the aforesaid Instructions that pursuant to the order dated 26.02.2024 Deepak Tripathi, who is Village Panchayat Secretary/Village Development Officer has been suspended. It is further stated that recovery proceedings has also been initiated against them. 4. Heard learned counsel for the parties and perused the record. 5. In the facts and circumstances of the case, the present petition is disposed of directing the respondent No.2/District Magistrate, Kanpur Dehat to conclude the proceedings initiated against the Village Pradhan as well as Village Panchayat Secretary/Village Development Officer expeditiously and preferably within a period of two months from the date of production of certified copy of this order.
