The case of the petitioner is that the petitioners were joined in the 1st respondent Transport Corporation as Conductors, Drivers and Technical Staff on various dates and retired from service on various dates. The petitioners made a representations to the respondents dated 30.04.2024, 10.07.2024, 22.07.2024, 23.07.2024, 09.09.2025, 14.10.2024 and 11.11.2024, to pay the difference in gratuity, leave salary, pension with pension arrears based on wage settlement dated 13.04.2015 and 04.01.2018 and D.A., with 10% interest. The said representations are pending on the file of the respondents. Hence the present writ petition is filed. 3. The learned Standing Counsel for the respondents would fairly admits that in view of the similar orders passed by this Court in W.P.Nos 40031, 33742 and 35806 of 2024, they are willing to pay the interest at the rate of 6% per annum for the belated payment of the eligible and admissible amount. 3/6 https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis W.P.No.18089 of 2025 4. Heard the learned counsel for both sides and perused the materials available on record. 5. In view of the above submission of the learned Standing Counsels, this Court deems it appropriate to direct the respondents to pay the eligible and admissible amount with interest at the rate of 6% per annum for the belated payment of terminal benefits, from the date of retirement till the date of actual disbursal of the terminal benefits of the petitioners, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 6. In the result, this Writ Petition is disposed of with the above observations.
