1. Petitioners contend there was a law and order situation due to communal tensions. Petitioners have been falsely implicated. Accordingly, they pray for anticipatory bail.
2. Learned Advocate for the State opposes the prayer for anticipatory bail.
3. We have considered the materials on record. Statement of witnesses show under the leadership of the petitioners unlawful mob assaulted police personnel. They even disrobed lady police officers.
4. In light of the nature of crime, we are of the opinion this is not a fit case to grant anticipatory bail.
5. Application for anticipatory bail is, thus, rejected.
