Petitioners claim to have undertaken various works under works order issued by Nagar Nigam, Saharanpur in the year 2022. The grievance is that the admitted dues payable to the tune of Rs.9,20,091/- along with interest has not been released so far. It is alleged that on account of lack of funds, the amount has not been released to the petitioners. 2. Learned Standing Counsel states that appropriate decision would be taken in the matter, in accordance with law. 3. In the facts of the case, we direct respondent no.2 to examine the petitioners' grievance and take appropriate steps as may be warranted in law within a period of six weeks, by passing a reasoned order. Admitted dues of the petitioners would be released within a further period of two months. Petitioners' claim for release of interest in terms of the applicable guidelines/contract shall also be accorded consideration within the same time. 4.
