It is the contention of the petitioners that they have filed applications in Form No.57 in the year 2022-23. The petitioners are cultivating land bearing Sy.No.11 measuring 4 acres each of Layadasarahalli Village, Javagondanahalli Hobli, Hiriyur Taluk, Chitradurga District. The said lands were regularized in favour of the petitioners vide order found at Annexure-G. Thereafter, the - 3 - HC-KAR NC: 2025:KHC:35836 WP No. 27020 of 2025 petitioners made an representation to collect kimath and issue saguvali chit in favour of the petitioners. Aggrieved by the inaction on the part of the respondent-Tahsildar, Hiriyur Taluk, the petitioners have filed this writ petition. 3. Having regard to the facts stated hereinabove, this Court is of the considered opinion that respondent No.3-Tahsildar was duty bound to consider the representation of the petitioner and pass necessary orders. 4. The writ petition stands disposed of with a direction to respondent No.3 – Tahasildar, Hiriyur Taluk, to consider the representation given by the petitioners at Annexures-E and F dated 01.03.2025 and 06.03.2025, verify from the records and find out indeed granted the land. If it is found that the Committee had in fact regularised the land in favour of the petitioners, the Tahasildar shall proceed to collect the kimath from the petitioners and thereafter, pass necessary orders issuing Saguvali chit and enter the names of the petitioners in the - 4 - HC-KAR NC: 2025:KHC:35836 WP No. 27020 of 2025 land records pursuant to the issuance of the Saguvali chit. The entire exercise shall be completed as expeditiously as possible and at any rate within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Ordered accordingly. 5.
