The present petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India read with Section 528 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023, seeking issuance of a writ of habeascorpusfor production of Ms. Jaspreet Kaur before this Court. 2. During the pendency of the present proceedings, the alleged detenue has appeared before this Court. We have interacted with her, as also with respondent No. 4, her father, in chambers on more than one occasion so as to ascertain her wishes and satisfy ourselves that she was not under any illegal This is a digitally signed order. It is further pertinent to note that, by Order dated 25.05.2026, this Court recorded that the alleged detenue is a major and had categorically stated that she wished to reside with respondent No. 4. Upon interacting with her, this Court was satisfied that she was acting voluntarily, of her own free will, and was not under any illegal detention or confinement. 4. In view thereof, it was noted that no substantive issue survived for consideration in the present writ petition. Nevertheless, at the request of the alleged detenue and respondent No. 4, the matter was adjourned and directed to be listed today. 5. Today, the alleged detenue and respondent No. 4 are present before the Court. They submit that they do not wish to pursue the present proceedings any further and request that the petition be disposed of. 6. Having regard to the nature of the present proceedings, the interaction done with the alleged detenue, the findings already recorded by this Court in its Order dated 25.05.2026, and the statement made by the parties today, we are satisfied that no further directions are required to be passed in the present proceedings. 7.
