The instant writ petition has been filed by the petitioner under Article 226 of Constitution of India seeking the following main prayer:
“to issue an order or direction more particularly one in the nature of Writ of Mandamus declaring the action of the 1st respondent in issuing the impugned Memo No. 23975/Ser.III/A1/2017, dated 18.03.2017 rejecting the case of the petitioner for grant of Special Promotion Post-I Scale (SPP-I Scale), though the petitioner have completed 16 years of service as on 23-07-2009 as Record Assistant, as illegal, unlawful, contrary to law and consequently direct the 1st respondent to reconsider the case of the petitioner for grant of SPP-I Scale w.e.f. 23-07-2009 with all consequential benefits on completion of 16 years of service without any promotion as Record Assistant, and pass …..”
2. Today, there is no representation for the petitioner.
The main substratum of the writ petition is that the petitioner challenged the impugned orders, wherein the case of the petitioner for grant of Special Promotion Post-I(SPP) was rejected. 3. Per contra, the learned Standing Counsel for 1st respondent University, Ms.Pranati, represented by Ms.R.Sowmya, submits that

the petitioner was superannuated from service on 31.07.2023 itself, while working as an Agricultural Extension Officer in 1st respondent University. According to her, no further cause survives for adjudication. 4. In view of the fact that there is no representation for the petitioner coupled with the representation made by the learned Standing Counsel that the writ petitioner superannuated from service in the year 2023 itself, the writ petition is dismissed. 5.
