Neutral Citation No. - 2025:AHC:82026-DB Chief Justice's Court Case :- PUBLIC INTEREST LITIGATION (PIL) No. - 1105 of 2025 Petitioner :- Rampat Yadav Respondent :- State of U.P. and 3 others Counsel for Petitioner :- Saurabh Basu Counsel for Respondent :- Manu Ghildyal (S.C.), Ridhan Gupta, Kaushalendra Nath Singh Hon'ble Arun Bhansali,Chief Justice Hon'ble Kshitij Shailendra,J.
1. This petition purportedly in public interest has been filed by the petitioner claiming himself to be a social worker working for upliftment and betterment of the society.
2. The challenge has been laid, to the challans of the vehicles, who enter the area in question during no entry period.
3. Though the petitioner has not disclosed his status, from the perusal of the annexures annexed with the petition, it appears that he is President of Noida Tempo Truck Transport Association.
4. Having gone through the petition, we are firmly of the opinion that the challans, being imposed by the R.T.O are as a consequence of the no entry declared, which cannot be faulted.
5. In so far as the no entry itself is concerned, if the association is aggrieved, the association has to question the same. Filing of the petition by the petitioner claiming himself to be a social worker, in so far as only the challans which are a consequence of the no entry is concerned, such a petition is not maintainable. The same is, therefore, dismissed. Order Date :- 17.5.2025 RK/AKShukla (Kshitij Shailendra, J) (Arun Bhansali, CJ) Digitally signed by :- RAJESH KUMAR High Court of Judicature at Allahabad
